Remembering and celebrating HIV+ women as powerful activists breaking stigmas, to end AIDS together.

HIV/AIDS is no longer a death sentence, but for women, gender and sexually diverse people, sex workers and many living in lower-income countries access to medication and support remains a struggle.

"We live in a hybrid world where increasing use of mobile technology means that digital elements are embedded in everyday life and cultural participation. More people are creatively participating, and it is increasingly difficult to distinguish ‘artist’ and ‘audience’. Audiences expect to be able to insert themselves into the story of an artwork and to have access to multiple lines of communication – with performers as well as other audience members and participants." In Real Life: Mapping digital cultural engagement in the first decades of the 21st Century 2021, Australia Council for the Arts

Sharing films outdoors has an immediacy that sparks conversation, it is a campfire, a circle, that really excites me. The interrelationship between site and artwork, embedded on the street, in public rather than isolated on a small device, or inside a cinema or lounge room. Jacqui North.

Enticing Events

Entice people back to the city and high streets.

Two years of travel restrictions de-positioned the CBD.

Before covid, a 3 sq km area was responsible for 9.4% of Australia’s GDP growth. The CBD matters not just to our city but to our nation, said Selina Short, EY.  As the geography of work changes, the CBD must evolve from a place of business into a Central Experience District.
